Lead OSP Drafter – SpatialNet
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Experience in Planning, Designing, Implementing, and modifying HFC Network Designs. Development of OSP
planning/design documentation, plans and specification assembly. - Proficient in network and route digitization with standard HFC drafting practices to include Metro E Designs, SMB Coax Design, MDU/SDU Design and Node Split/Seg Designs.
- Should possess good knowledge on Telecom HFC-OSP networks (Both Fiber and Coax plants). Person will be responsible
for the Design of HFC & FTTx network architecture (Aerial & Buried) and OSP Network planning to stimulate end to end
Coaxial & fiber connectivity, delivery, and construction to Living, Business and Multi dwelling units. - Knowledge on Fiber documentations like Fiber Schematics, Fiber Preterms and Spice reports etc.
- Role involves checking, verifying and validate the feasibility ofroute, address of all the Units under the respective
Node/Distribution Area. Reading field surveys notes, O-Calc reports and converting the field notes into the Final Design. - Perform incorporation of as-builts, and design of HFC and Fiber node splits/Segmentations.
- Ensure projects are adhered to pre-defined Quality Metrics. Learn and utilize computer program applications used for design and
drafting. - Know and understand the design criteria and special instructions for specific assigned projects.
- Perform strand map digitizing to customer and organizational standards.
- Promptly make all quality control corrections required upon return of previously performed work.
- Responsible for Right of Way (RoW) & Utility Easement (UE) Verification & validation by researching the plats

- Prepare high quality Construction Drawing for planned network on Spatial Net, AutoCAD, which includes Distribution
area schematics, Maps and Cut-outs. - Perform Tasks specific to Spatial Net, AutoCAD, Lode Data, and project specific tools.
- Keep design and / or drafting leaders, supervisor, network engineers and management informed of all pertinent issues.
- Keep accurate records of important communications and developments for assigned project and prepare summaries of completed
designs and project status information. - Analyze current design and / or drafting techniques and suggest more efficient techniques where appropriate.
- Provide introductory training for new employees as requested.
- Assist and report to Lead Engineer / Project Manager. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required.
- Have a sound knowledge of Fiber and RF systems Plan, design and / or drafting.
- Coordinate with Level 1 QC team and make necessary changes as per the required design and drafting
requirements. - Must attend Weekly meetings with Level 1 QC team to discuss design considerations/queries & work completion
metrics. - Special drawings/plant records, construction management documentation, and any other duties to ensure projects
are completed successfully. - Lead OSP Drafter should meet or exceed business unit goals while maintaining quality standards, controlling expenses,
Project timelines and following company and business unit directives and practices. - Ensures the integrity of the customer access network is maintained and provides support forthe deployment of
access technologies. - Perform the upper-level complexity of jobs and functions within the district, focusing on Client GPON design.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Should be able support post design review with customer if required.
- Act as mentor/guide for their fellow team members to ensure continuous training & improvement is in place to
fulfill the team and organization goals.
Essentials Qualifications & Required Skills:
- Should have minimum 5+ Year Hands on Experience on Spatial Net, AutoCAD,
Lode Data. (Mandatory Required) - Ability to learn new skills to meet production and revenue goals.
- Must be well verse with EPON, RFoG, HFC and FTTX network architectures. Have a
sound knowledge of RF systems design and / or drafting. - Must have experience on BAU, Node Splits and High-Splits HFC designs.
- Should have a proven and excellent track record of quality of work demonstrated in previous and current
organization. - Should have an excellent English communication skill both in reading and writing.
- Flexibility is must and candidate should be flexible in terms of working hours, shift timings etc.
- Must be a dependable self-starter, able to work unsupervised in a fast-paced.
- Should be a team player and should step up & contribute whenever isrequired & asked for.
- Ability to meet critical due dates.
Working Conditions:
- 9 Hrs. of Shift timings which includes Nightshifts and odd shifts.
- Should be flexible & ready to work on Indian/US holidays including weekends based on the Project requirement.
- No Work from Home opportunity, it would be work from office.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in EC, telecommunications, or equivalent
