Presales Engineer - Data Center Networking
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Solution Design – Data Center Networking (SME Level)
- Architect cutting-edge Leaf-Spine & EVPN-VXLAN fabric solutions.
- Optimize network design for east-west traffic, multi-tenancy (VRF/VLAN), and cloud on-ramp integration.
- Ensure scalability, high availability, and low-latency performance in MTDC and Hyperscale environments.
- Technology & OEM Expertise
- Expert-level proficiency in platforms: Cisco Nexus, Arista EOS, Juniper QFX, Dell EMC S-Series, HPE Comware.
- Deep understanding of routing/switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, STP variants, MLAG/VPC, LACP, VRF, etc.
- Hands-on with network automation and telemetry tools: Ansible, Python, REST APIs, gNMI, NetConf/YANG, SNMP, NetFlow, sFlow.
- Exposure to 100G/400G line-rate designs, ZTP, ASIC-level optimization, and DCIM platforms.
- Presales & Bid Management
- Collaborate with Sales to scope customer requirements and develop best-fit DCN solutions.
- Create detailed documentation: BoMs, solution diagrams, SoWs, RFP responses, compliance matrices, and technical presentations.
- Support RFI/RFP/RFQ responses and own technical proposal quality.
- DC Infrastructure Integration (Exposure Required)
- Work closely with DC Infra teams for holistic solutioning across cabling, power, and cooling systems.
- Understand structured cabling standards (Cat6A, OM3/OM4, MPO/MTP), CRAC/InRow cooling, and rack/power planning (PDU, ATS, UPS).
- Account for heat dissipation, airflow, and high-density design considerations in networking layouts.
- Customer & Partner Engagement
- Lead technical discussions with customers, system integrators, OEMs, and ecosystem partners.
- Conduct solution workshops, PoCs, trials, and interoperability testing.
- Act as a trusted advisor and technical thought partner throughout the sales lifecycle.
Required Qualifications & Skill Sets:
- Bachelor’s/Master`s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 6–7 years of relevant experience in Data Center Networking presales, design, or consulting.
- In-depth technical knowledge across network fabrics, protocols, multi-tenancy, and automation.
- Working-level exposure to DC physical infrastructure.
- Ability to bridge technical design with business needs through consultative engagement.
- Strong documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills to influence diverse stakeholders.

- Cisco: CCNP / CCIE (Data Center)

- Juniper: JNCIS-DC / JNCIP-DC
- Dell / HPE: DC Networking credentials
